Sam McIntosh is a Motion Graphics Designer and Producer from Newcastle, Australia. In 2015 he graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Visual Communication Design. 

From 2016 to the end of 2017 he worked as a Junior Broadcast Designer at their Sydney station in Pyrmont, NSW. It was here where Sam gained his first experience in the television industry working in the networks promo department.

As a Junior Broadcast designer he developed his skills in After Effects & C4D whilst under the guidance of the Networks Art Director and Senior Designers. At Ten he became was a key member of the design team and had the opportunity to work on launch promotions for shows including, Have You Been Paying Attention?, Peter Helliar’s quiz show CRAM!, Whose Line is it anyway? Australia, and US Dramas Bull starring Michael Weatherly and Wisdom of the Crowd.

Sam also assisted Senior Designers on the networks major shows Including, Masterchef, I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, The Biggest Loser, Australian Survivor, The Bachelor/ Bachelorette and the KFC Big Bash League.

At the end of 2017 he was approached by the NRL and offered an opportunity to work in their new digital department as a Motion Graphics Designer creating content for nrl.com and NRL’s social media platforms. He accepted the role and started his role in the company in January 2018. His day to day role is working with the video team creating graphics for nrl.com’s studio panel shows (Inside the NRL, NRL Teams & NRL Fantasy) and daily videos that are posted on the website.

During his first year he took on a major project from the events team to create visuals that would be displayed throughout stadiums during the State of Origin series. At the first event for the series in Melbourne he created visuals that were projected onto a water screen during a pre-match performance by Australian DJs Peking Duk. Since then he has gone on to create graphics for every major event on the NRL calendar from the Dally M awards to the Telstra Premiership Grand Final where his graphics have appeared in front of crowds of over 80,000 football fans.
